‘Remember I love you’ is by Kimya Dawson, there are many
features on this digipak.
The cover of the digipak has a cartoon image of animals and typography. I would say that this is associated with children, and it also looks like it has been hand drawn by someone. In addition the typography is childlike because it’s in a hand written style and instead of the word “love” there is a heart, which is something stereotypically teenagers do. The colouring of the red is also rather imperfect meaning that the artist was trying to aim that the album is dedicated on love and the issue surrounding it. Also, the heart looks rather dominant on the cover of the digipak since everything else is in black and white. Next, the back of the digipak, has a colour scheme of; white, black and red, with red being the focus colour. Red is often associated with love and hatred, it could be focusing on the positives and negatives of being in a relationship. Though, black also has negative meanings, such as fear whereas white shows purity, innocence and virtue. The inside of the digipak is interesting because it looks like it could be a close up drawing of the artist, in cartoon version, even though the character is drawn it’s still looking directly into the audiences eyes, meaning they could feel influenced by this and also gain inspiration to draw like that.
